Where is Amazon’s headquarters?

Amazon’s SEC filing index lists 410 Terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109 as its business and mailing address. Amazon’s headquarters presence extends beyond that one address, including offices in Seattle and Bellevue.

The official Bellevue office tour describes the Sonic and Dynamo buildings as part of its Puget Sound headquarters. Treat a headquarters city or campus separately from a verified corporate contact address.

HQ2 is in Arlington, Virginia

Amazon selected Arlington for HQ2 in 2018. The first phase, Metropolitan Park in National Landing, officially opened in 2023. The selection announcement and the completed opening are different events.

Why some older address records are not carried forward

A company can have several types of presence in the same region. A fulfillment center is not a corporate office, and a job-location page is not proof of an office lease. The old Baltimore BWI2 record is therefore excluded from the office-city table.

The earlier directory also contained street addresses that the reviewed primary sources did not establish. The revised file leaves those address fields blank or places the record in the legacy-audit sheet. An unresolved record does not mean Amazon has no presence in that city.

The audit preserves all 58 prior entries and their disposition. That makes the change reviewable without maintaining unsupported addresses in the main directory.

AWS contact addresses have a separate purpose

The AWS marketing-entities page lists legal entities and contact addresses. Four such records are provided on their own workbook sheet. They are not added to the count of 43 office cities.

Use the source for the purpose it actually supports. Before visiting, delivering items or sending formal communications, confirm the current recipient-specific instructions. A publicly listed legal contact is not evidence of a visitor reception.
