Verizon Leadership: Executives, Business Units and Roles
Introduction

Dan Schulman is Chief Executive Officer of Verizon. The current executive team separates customer-facing business leadership from the network and technology platform: Alfonso Villanueva leads Verizon Consumer Group, Kyle Malady leads Verizon Business Group, and Joe Russo leads Global Networks and Technology. This guide maps the nine leaders shown on Verizon’s official executive page and explains where commercial, network, finance, legal, marketing, corporate-affairs, and responsible-business decisions sit.

Verified October 7, 2026. Nine executives listed on Verizon’s executive-bios page, with individual sources and current published titles. This roster is separate from the Board of Directors.

Detail

Verizon’s operating leadership map

The most useful way to read the executive list is by customer segment and shared platform. Consumer and Business leaders own distinct markets, while Global Networks and Technology supplies the network foundation used across them.

CONSUMER
Alfonso Villanueva

Wireless and broadband propositions for consumer customers.

BUSINESS
Kyle Malady

Enterprise, public-sector, and business customer solutions.

NETWORK & TECHNOLOGY

Three roles that are easy to confuse

CEO of VerizonDan Schulman leads the enterprise. This title is different from leading one customer group.
CEO Verizon Business GroupKyle Malady owns the Business customer organization. His current published title is not CTO.
President of Global Networks and TechnologyJoe Russo leads the shared network and technology organization. This is the relevant current technology-platform title.

How the functions work together

A consumer or enterprise offer depends on several layers. The market-group leader owns the customer and commercial objective; Global Networks and Technology supplies network capability; Finance tests investment and performance; Legal addresses regulatory and contracting issues; Marketing shapes demand and communication.

Practical routing: send consumer pricing and proposition questions toward Consumer; enterprise solution questions toward Business; coverage, capacity, reliability, and platform questions toward Global Networks and Technology.

Why exact titles matter

Alfonso Villanueva’s current published title is Executive Vice President and CEO, Verizon Consumer Group. An older interim label or a separate technology title should not be carried forward into a current roster.

Keep a title history when updating the spreadsheet. The verification date shows when a source was checked; it does not, on its own, establish the effective appointment date.
