Template of Competitor Ad Activity Monitor

Brief

Scrapes ad libraries to track active campaigns and analyze competitor marketing strategies.

What does Competitor Ad Activity Monitor do?

This template automates the process of checking ad transparency centers (like the Facebook Ad Library or Google Ads Transparency Center). It takes a brand name, searches for their active advertisements, and extracts the ad copy and creative details.

By gathering this raw data, it enables AI agents to "spy" on competitors to determine if they are scaling ads, testing new hooks, or running specific promotions.

What data can you scrape from Ad Libraries ?

Platform: Facebook Ad Library / Google Ads

Data Points:

• Active Ad Count
• Ad Copy (Primary Text & Headlines)
• Creative Type (Image vs. Video)
• Campaign Start Dates
• Platform Deployment (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Messenger)

How to use Competitor Ad Activity Monitor ?

• Run via n8n: This template is triggered by the "Monitor competitor ad activity" workflow when a user sends a brand name (e.g., "Nike") to the Telegram bot.
• Provide Input: Map the Brand Name extracted by Gemini to the template's input field.
• Output: The template returns a list of currently active ads found for that brand.
• Next Steps: The data is analyzed by a "Senior Marketing Analyst" AI to generate a strategic verdict ("ADVERTISE NOW" or "WAIT").

Why scrape Ad Libraries ?

• Competitor Intelligence: See exactly what your competitors are selling and how they are selling it.
• Creative Inspiration: Discover winning hooks and angles without reinventing the wheel.
• Trend Spotting: Identify if a competitor is aggressively scaling (launching many new ads) or pulling back.

This template is a dependency for the n8n workflow: Monitor competitor ad activity via Telegram using BrowserAct & Gemini. It provides the raw intelligence required for the AI to produce the final "Scorecard" report.
